Frequently Asked Questions

Is previous experience required to drive a quad bike?

Yes, we recommend having previous driving experience before joining our quad bike tours. Some routes can include uneven terrain, steep areas and off-road conditions, so feeling comfortable operating a vehicle is important for both safety and enjoyment. Our guides will still provide a full safety briefing and instructions before the tour begins.

Is previous experience required to drive a buggy?

No previous experience is required to drive a buggy. Our buggies are easy to operate and similar to driving an automatic car. You only need to be a confident and responsible driver. Before the tour begins, our guides will provide a full safety briefing and driving instructions.

What happens if it rains?

Our buggies are equipped with a front windshield, which provides some protection from rain and wind during the tour. Weather conditions in the Azores can change very quickly, and light rain is often part of the adventure experience.
Tours are only canceled in cases of extreme weather conditions or official weather alerts, always with safety as the top priority.
If it is raining and you do not feel comfortable joining the tour, you should still attend at the scheduled date and time. Our guide will assess the conditions with you and, if possible, help arrange an alternative date for the experience.

Is a driving license required?

Yes, a valid driving license is mandatory for all drivers participating in the tour. The minimum age to drive is 18 years old. Passengers do not need a driving license.
Please note that photos or digital copies of the driving license are not accepted. You must present the original physical driving license at check-in.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, as this is an outdoor adventure experience. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for safety.
We also recommend bringing a warm jacket and a rain jacket at any time of the year, as weather conditions in the Azores can change quickly. Dressing in layers is the best option to stay comfortable throughout the tour.
